Today, a meeting between members of the EASTSIDE BLOSSOMS committee met with Mr. Walter Norwood, Senior Professional Engineer with the City of Fort Worth and with Mr. Rex Heflin, Tunnel Crossing Manager of S. J. Louis Construction Company of Texas, LTD. The meeting was to discuss SJ Louis sewer line project in Randol Mill Road and a second project that will improve sewer flow from the Woodhaven area to the new major east-west line.
Great news was received from the Mr. Norwood and Mr. Heflin. The Randol Mill Rd. project should be completed before November. This is important because EASTSIDE BLOSSOMS committee plans to plant the Randol Mill Road medians from Woodhaven Blvd. to the current plantings near the office of East Fort Worth, Inc. beginning in November. The north south line should start in 2 weeks and take about 2 more weeks to complete.
The reports are significant because, EASTSIDE BLOSSOMS will be having it's EASTSIDE BLOSSOMS fund raising Gala in April of next year. By then, the construction will be completed and many more trees will have been planted. We are always hoping for more donations to allow us to plant more trees and to maintain the ones that have been planted.
Thanks to Rex and Walter for taking the time to meet with us.
